Often referred to as “the Niagara of the South,” Cumberland Falls thunders boisterously over an 85-foot drop, casting its spray for hundreds of feet downstream. This photo was taken in 2016, after weeks of extremely dry conditions. The reduced precipitation did little to lessen the beauty of this waterfall, instead transforming the usual wall of solid white into a mesmerizing array of gentle cascades and soft columns of falling water.

August 23, 2014. In conjunction with the Lexington School of Photography, I'll be offering a 1-day workshop on "Making Sharper Images" on Saturday, September 13th. We will show you how to better ensure that you'll get sharp pictures. This workshop involves 3 hours of classroom time, followed by lunch, then an afternoon spent at Woodland Park practicing what was learned earlier. Go to Making Sharper Images Workshop for the registration form and additional information. Limited to 16 students.
