The Federal Hill Mansion, built in 1795 by Senator John Rowan, is believed to be the inspiration for Kentucky's state song, "My Old Kentucky Home," and is the centerpiece of My Old Kentucky Home State Park in Bardstown, Ky. The song was written in the 1850's by Stephen Collins Foster, a cousin of Senator Rowan.
